Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks a Senior MPDE Automation Engineer with a strong Electrical & Electronics background to lead the development and implementation of advanced automation solutions for cable assembly manufacturing.

The role involves designing, developing, and validating automated manufacturing systems, while driving process innovation, quality improvement, and operational excellence; supporting new product development and DFM initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Automation or related field
• Hands-on automation controls experience preferred
• Minimum 7 years of automation/lighting manufacturing experience
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation systems and PLCs

Responsibilities

• Lead automation development for cable assembly manufacturing using LEANPD principles
• Drive innovation in automation technologies including robotics and machine vision
• Support product development and DFM, develop tooling and prototypes for NPI
• Design and qualify tooling, fixtures, and automated processes
• Apply expertise in electrical/electronic systems to solve manufacturing challenges and assess supplier capabilities
