Job summary

CIMB Bank Berhad seeks a Senior Associate in the Chief Investment Office for Investment Solutions (Structured Products). You will develop investment ideas, analyse markets, and prepare client-ready publications and updates for private banking teams.

The role requires CMSRL for investment advice, with CFA as an added advantage. Collaboration with treasury, sales, and advisors will help tailor portfolios to client goals and asset allocation strategies.

Qualifications

• Sound fundamental and technical analysis, skilled with data interpretation and financial modelling.
• Strong communication and written skills to convey investment ideas clearly to clients.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and present recommendations to Relationship Managers.

Responsibilities

Senior Associate, GCB SP CIOO - Investment Solutions (Structured Products)

To produce well-researched investment advice in areas of specialisation spanning Structured Investments, Equity and ETFs for the Private Banking and Private Wealth businesses

Key Responsibilities *

Idea generation and monitoring

Produce reports on investment ideas based on top-down and bottom-up analysis, employing qualitative and quantitative methodologies

Keep abreast of financial markets and company developments through engagements with analysts/company management/industry experts

Work closely with the relevant teams within the Chief Investment Office to generate ideas for Model Portfolios and Structured Investments

Assist the Team with preparation of investment publications

Communication and stakeholder engagement

Articulate investment ideas to Relationship Managers and clients via written and verbal channels

Support Relationship Managers through updates on key market/company developments and house views as well as knowledge-sharing sessions on structured solutions and ETFs

Work with internal stakeholders including Group Treasury & Markets and Investment Consultants/Advisors to improve sales efforts

Review and propose tailored strategies to optimize clients’ investment portfolios, aligned with individual investment goals, house views and recommended asset allocation.

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements

CMSRL holder for Investment Advice. CFA will be an added advantage.

Equity research, technical & quantitaive analysis, asset management, finance and capital markets-related roles.
