JUBM Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya seeks a Senior Assistant Technical Director (Senior QS) to lead quantity surveying teams and coordinate project cost management across multiple offices.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, strong leadership, and fluency in English and Bahasa. You will edit estimates, oversee feasibility studies, and report to Directors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa.
• Minimum 10 years relevant working experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform quantity surveying duties for the efficient operation of the office.
• Supervise Senior Team Leaders, Team Leaders, Senior Project Executives and other team members.
• Deal with day-to-day running of the team.
• Edit and check all estimates, feasibility studies, bills, reports and correspondences.
• Attend principal project meetings with Directors/Technical Director and team members.

Senior Assistant Technical Director (Senior QS)

Required to perform quantity surveying duties necessary for the efficient operation of the office.

Supervises the work of Senior Team Leader/s, Team Leader/s, Senior Project Executive/s and other team members [where applicable to the relevant teams].

Deals with the day-to-day running of the team.

Responsible to the Directors for the efficiency and performance of the team.

Responsible for editing and checking all estimates, feasibility studies, bills, reports, correspondences, etc.

Attends all principal project meeting together with the Directors/Technical Director/team members.

Assess and schedule staff resources, allocate assignments and duties to team members.

Carry out periodic performance appraisals on team members and report to Technical Director.

Carry out and co-ordinate training and education of team members to broaden their knowledge and experience on quantity surveying matters.

Plan and resource adequate technical and administrative support and back-up facilities.

Look into welfare of team members and advise Directors/Technical Director of requirements.

Implement proper quality control methods, i.e. quantity checks on Bills of Quantities, maintaining consistency in information provided in tender documents, checking all report and letters to ensure sound grammar, proper sentence construction and coherence.

Draw up quality plan at commencement of a project; establish critical tasks and dates at each stage of project.

Monitor status of all projects handled by team and prepare monthly reports, schedules, etc.

Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

Good interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills.

Proficient in English and Bahasa.

Minimum 10 years relevant working experience except candidate with exceptional qualities.
