Job summary

Hirehub Group is a leading industrial solutions provider seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support sales with technical guidance on Power Transmission products. You will identify suitable solutions, troubleshoot issues, and maintain strong customer relationships.

The role involves collaboration with senior engineers and the APAC Regional Product Manager, plus travel for on-site support as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, PT products.
• Willingness to travel and provide on-site technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and engineering guidance to the Sales team for customer and supplier inquiries.
• Identify and source suitable products based on customer specifications and requirements.
• Assess system deficiencies, investigate technical issues, and troubleshoot within required timeframes.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and recommend technical solutions.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster long-term partnerships.
• Collaborate with Senior Application Engineers and APAC Regional Product Manager to support objectives.
• Coordinate with global teams on product matters, support, and project requirements.
• Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical briefings to customers and stakeholders.
• Visit customer sites and provide on-site technical support when required.
• Perform other duties as delegated by supervisor.

Job Descriptions

• Provide technical assistance and sound engineering guidance to the Sales team in responding to customer and supplier enquiries.
• Identify and source suitable products, both internally and externally, according to customer specifications and application requirements.
• Assess system deficiencies, investigate technical issues, and provide effective troubleshooting recommendations within the required timeframe.
• Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions or alternatives.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster long-term business partnerships.
• Collaborate with Senior Application Engineers and the Regional Product Manager (APAC) to support business objectives and technical initiatives.
• Coordinate with global teams on product-related matters, technical support, and project requirements.

• Implement business strategies, sales plans, and initiatives in accordance with Management's direction.
• Visit customer sites and provide on-site technical assistance and support when required.
• Perform any other duties, assignments, or projects as delegated by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar engineering position, preferably within the mechanical engineering industry, with experience in Power Transmission (PT) products.
• Strong technical capabilities with a solid understanding of engineering principles, product applications, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Self-driven and able to work independently, while also contributing effectively as part of a team to achieve project and business objectives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities while maintaining timely delivery and quality standards.
• Willingness to travel and provide on-site technical support to customers as needed.
