Job summary

Swarovski is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer (Retail Planning & Merchandising) to own the technical health and operational readiness of critical planning services. You will troubleshoot SQL Server and SSAS, manage data flows between SAP ecosystems and cloud platforms, and coordinate vendor support for incidents in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, business informatics or comparable qualification.
7+ years in enterprise application or data-platform engineering with strong SQL Server experience.
Solid experience in SQL Server administration, T-SQL development, stored procedures, views, indexing and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of SSAS, Windows Server, and batch processing operations.
Experience monitoring and supporting enterprise applications using Splunk, scheduling platforms, logs, and alerts.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end technical health and availability of the Retail Planning & Merchandising service.
Troubleshoot SQL Server databases and Analysis Services, including connectivity and performance.
Read, write, and troubleshoot SQL Server objects and data-processing logic.
Monitor and recover daily and weekly jobs using Windows Task Scheduler, Splunk, logs and alerts.
Provide 1st/2nd level support, root-cause analysis and vendor escalation.
