Job summary

Tenaga Nasional Berhad seeks a seasoned Tender Manager to lead bid evaluations for power generation and energy storage projects. You will develop robust evaluation criteria, ensure fairness, and prepare reports for senior management, driving transparent decision-making.

You will coordinate tender activities, manage bidder communications, and supervise analysts in data gathering and preliminary assessments, while monitoring market trends and regulatory changes affecting procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Mechanical or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the power or energy sector.
• At least 2 years in tender management, project evaluation, power procurement or related commercial functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive tender evaluation criteria covering technical feasibility and financial viability.
• Coordinate the evaluation process for competitive tenders related to new power generation projects, including energy storage.
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports and recommendations for senior management.
• Manage communications with bidders throughout the tender process.
• Supervise executives in gathering data, conducting preliminary evaluations, and preparing reports for internal review.
• Analyse market trends and regulatory changes to improve tender documents and evaluation methods.
• Ensure transparency and fairness in the tendering process, adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

• Develop comprehensive tender evaluation criteria, covering both technical feasibility and financial viability of submitted bids.
• Ensure transparency and fairness in the tendering process, adhering to regulatory guidelines and internal procurement policies.
• Coordinate the evaluation process for competitive tenders related to new power generation projects, including energy storage.
