Job summary

RBC Shared Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks a structured products professional to support quantitative analysis and automation within Capital Markets. You will collaborate with the Sales & Structuring Desk and streamline pricing workflows for Structured products across FICC and Equity, providing essential structuring support with no client-facing duties.

The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of related experience, strong programming skills (Python, C++, Java), and a solid grasp of derivatives pricing

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of related working experience.
• Solid understanding of derivatives and options markets.
• Programming in Python, C++, Java, or equivalent languages; VBA is a plus.
• Understanding of pricing models and quantitative methods.
• Experience with automation tools and AI-enabled solutions is beneficial.
• Ability to perform well under high-pressure environments.

The Structured Products plays an integral role in supporting the firm's key strategic client initiatives across Capital Markets.

Key responsibilities

Internal RBC collaboration to collate and prepare data analysis for Sales & Structuring Desk Head for management review

Streamline the workflow on the pricing and execution of Structured products for FICC and Equity offering

Structuring support only

No client-facing activities

About you

Solid understanding of derivatives and options markets, including pricing, risk management, and ability to structure basic option products

Deep knowledge of at least one market segment: Structured Rates, FX, Commodities, Credit, Equity, or Quantitative Investment Strategies

Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments

3-4 years of related working experience

Programming experience in Python, C++, Java, or equivalent languages, in addition to VBA (nice to have)

Understanding of basic pricing models and quantitative methodologies (nice to have)

Proficiency with automation tools, including AI-enabled solutions (nice to have)

Experience designing and implementing automation solutions, APIs, and databases (nice to have)

Demonstrated ability to conduct back-testing and generate performance reports (nice to have)
