Job summary

Infineon Technologies in Penang is seeking an experienced analog layout engineer to turn complex circuit designs into silicon. You will lead the layout of analog blocks from scratch, perform routing and verification, and coach junior engineers to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires hands-on experience with analog layout techniques, IR drop/EM analysis, and a deep understanding of submicron CMOS processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic/Microelectronics/Electrical Engineering with >5 years of Analog Layout experience
• Hands-on experience in analog layout from scratch and implementing analog layout techniques
• IR drop and EM analysis proficiency
• Deep understanding of analog circuit layout concepts in submicron CMOS technologies
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication with initiative and teamwork
• Capable of driving ideas toward layout productivity, quality and methodology improvements
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills in analog layout

Responsibilities

• Perform analog circuit block, subsystem and top-level layout and verification using Cadence Virtuoso-VXL and modern techniques
• Lead/co-lead layout design of analog circuits from scratch including floor planning, routing, verification and violation resolution
• Conduct layout design reviews internally and externally with circuit designers
• Plan overall project schedule and distribute tasks to project teams
• Coach and guide junior engineers to ensure on-time delivery and quality
