Runjian (M) Sdn. Bhd. seeks a Senior Software Engineer with an Architecture track to lead a small, fast-moving team at the Malaysia AI Innovation Center in Kuala Lumpur.

The role focuses on building AI-enabled, scalable software systems and leading by example in AI-assisted development. You will design modular architectures, develop AI development infrastructure, and mentor engineers while shaping best practices for secure, scalable AI software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on software engineering with strong system design skills.
• Backend language proficiency: Go, Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Solid understanding of LLMs, token limits, context windows, AI unpredictability.
• Experience using AI coding assistants in daily workflow.
• Clear communication in English to explain technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design modular architectures to run multiple AI agents in parallel safely.
• Build and maintain AI development infrastructure and sandboxed environments.
• Define how to provide context to AI models for accurate outputs.
• Securely integrate enterprise APIs, databases and tools with AI agents.
• Evolve CI/CD pipelines for AI-generated code with QA gates.
• Set coding standards and mentor engineers on AI-friendly practices.
