Job summary

AIA is seeking a Software Engineering Leader in Kuala Lumpur to lead a team of engineers in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable digital solutions. You translate business requirements into technical delivery plans, oversee the SDLC, and drive engineering excellence across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, manage stakeholders, ensure security and compliance, and foster a high-performance culture operating across Asia. Hands-on capability and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in web/app/technical product management.
• Hands-on capability and the ability to translate vision into reality.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of product management lifecycle and web/application best practices.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software development initiatives within time, scope and budget.
• Translate roadmaps and requirements into executable delivery plans.
• Oversee SDLC activities and ensure quality standards.
• Promote engineering best practices including secure coding and CI/CD.
• Provide technical leadership and guide engineers and tech leads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects and vendors to ensure delivery success.
