Job summary

ABERS RESOURCES SDN BHD is seeking a seasoned Accountant in Malaysia to oversee the full set of accounts and daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy across reconciliations, ledgers, and supporting documents.

You will assist in monthly management accounts, monitor cash flow, coordinate monthly and year-end closing, and supervise the Accounts team to meet deadlines and maintain strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and full set of accounts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience supervising an Accounts team is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AutoCount Accounting System is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full set of accounts and daily accounting operations.
• Review accounting transactions, reconciliations, ledgers, and supporting documents.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and accounting reports.
• Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash flow, and other accounting activities.
• Coordinate monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Review project/job costing, inventory records, and related accounting information.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and assist in resolving issues.
• Supervise and guide Accounts team members to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure accounting procedures and internal controls are properly followed.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other external parties on accounting matters.
