Job summary

The Company is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team in Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial reporting and accounting operations.

You will oversee day-to-day accounting, prepare statements, reconcile accounts, manage monthly closes, and ensure compliance with tax regulations, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with auditors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with proven experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (including Malaysian Accounting Standards), and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve accounting issues.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience is highly desirable.
• Professional accounting qualifications (such as ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent) are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and review financial statements, trial balances, and monthly management accounts in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and investigate discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
• Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and consolidations.
• Support the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements and tax regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training on accounting procedures and best practices.
• Liaise with auditors and support audit processes as required.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement more efficient accounting procedures.
