Job summary

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based Zohorecruit is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage full-set accounts for clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and month-end closing. You will prepare monthly management accounts and supervise junior staff while liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients to ensure accurate documentation.

The role requires a formal accounting qualification and at least two years of relevant experience, with proficiency in SQL Accounting

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in an accounting firm or shared services.
• Proficient in SQL Accounting Software or similar.
• Strong understanding of full-set bookkeeping and month-end closing.
• Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written) to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounts for assigned clients (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation).
• Prepare monthly management accounts and schedules.
• Review and guide Junior Executives' data entry work.
• Liaise with clients to obtain documents and clarify transactions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal deadlines.
