Job summary

Tan Chong Group in Jalan Ipoh, KL is seeking an experienced finance leader to manage and oversee the accounting and finance team. You will handle General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Inventory, and ensure timely financial reporting and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA preferred), and 4–6 years of relevant experience with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is required.
• Experience in full set accounts and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and cash flow management.
• Good understanding of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage & lead the accounting & finance team to ensure the efficiency of day-to-day operations of accounting & financial activities.
• Responsible for the overall accounting function including preparation of financial statements, budgeting, cash flow, and management accounts.
• Ensure budgetary controls, forecasts & projections, and monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed on time.
• Involve in accounting system enhancement, process improvement, and ensure good internal controls.
• Ensure all operational-related reporting, monthly financial and management accounts are prepared in a timely manner and in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Provide coaching and mentoring for subordinates.
• Attend to ad-hoc tasks / analysis requested by management.
