Job summary

ROSEN is seeking a Supervisor specialized in ledgers and accounting in Shah Alam. The role includes managing the Local Accounting team and ensuring financial compliance while preparing month-end financial reports.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 6–7 years of relevant experience in Audit and Finance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA accounting software is preferred.

Location: Shah Alam

Responsibilities

• Supervisor role specialized in ledgers and accounting, ensuring high standards of departmental operation and reporting to stakeholders.
• Managing and monitoring the Local Accounting team (General-Ledger, Sub-Ledger A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets).
• Preparing monthly journal entries and adjustments, including work‑in‑progress, prepayments, accruals and taxes.
• Reviewing, analyzing and maintaining balance sheets, tracking account contents and performing reconciliations.
• Preparing, reviewing and analyzing the month‑end Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Accounts for financial reporting purposes.
• Responsible for cash‑flow management and reporting, including preparing and monitoring the weekly cash flow position, notifying Corporate Treasury, managing intercompany outgoing payments, engaging in the collection process and liaising with project managers for overdue invoices.
• Managing and overseeing the accounting process prepared by the accounting team.
• Preparing and taking responsibility for the year‑end financial reporting package in accordance with the Company Accounting Policy and the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, including the external audit of such financial statements.
• Responsible for annual statutory audit preparation, liaising with external auditors, providing information, responding to audit queries and finalising the audited financial statements.
• Preparing and taking responsibility for all compliance required by SSM.
• Supporting local tax projects and audit, ensuring accurate and timely filings and coordinating with in‑house tax team or external tax consultants.
• Preparing and taking responsibility for management reporting, including cost centre reporting.
• Assisting the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budget reports and performing variance analysis against actuals.
• Supporting and supplying other functions with financial information upon request.
• Managing and administering financial accounting topics (financial accounting manual, chart of accounts).
• Safeguarding company policies and ensuring applicable work procedures are followed.
• Driving continuous improvement processes and procedures related to finance matters, improving finance internal controls.
• Developing an employee‑oriented culture emphasizing quality, key employee retention and development, and high‑performance delivery of function‑specific responsibilities.
• Supporting, training and mentoring interns and/or junior team members as required or assigned.
• Complying with health, safety and environment regulations.
• Adhering to ROSEN business process, policies and procedures.
• Interacting and participating in the team with other members in the ROSEN Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Preferable 6–7 years of working experience in Audit and Finance, ideally in a servicing type of industry.
• Experience with accounting standards, requirements (e.g., end‑of‑month closing) and legal obligations.
• Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Excel (Advanced).
• Working experience with SAP S/4HANA accounting software is preferable.
• High attention to detail and excellent data accuracy skills.
• Ability to adhere to strict timeframe constraints and deadlines, being flexible when required to ensure work is completed.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Well‑developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
