Job description

Responsible for preparing accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for the group while overseeing day-to-day finance operations across the entity. The role combines technical group reporting with hands-on ownership of the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management, ensuring compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS(I)/IFRS).

Key Responsibilities

Group Consolidation & Reporting

• Prepare annual consolidated financial statements, including subsidiaries and associates.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, and resolve discrepancies with entity finance teams.
• Handle foreign currency translation of overseas subsidiaries and manage translation reserve movements.
• Prepare consolidation journals, supporting schedules, and audit-ready working papers.

Finance Operations

• Manage the full-cycle general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and month-end close.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain the fixed asset register.
• Manage cash flow, payment runs, and day-to-day treasury/banking matters.
• Process payroll journals and liaise with payroll providers or HR as needed.
• Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation.

Compliance & Controls

• Support statutory reporting and disclosure notes in line with SFRS(I) requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial parties; resolve audit and tax queries.
• Assist with GST filing and corporate tax computations (with tax agents where applicable).

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent;
• 3–6 years of relevant experience covering both group consolidation and full-set finance operations.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems
• Familiarity with Singapore GST and corporate tax basics an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing operational and reporting deadlines.
