Job summary

TUI in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Accountant on a 5-month contract to support month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting for our Malaysia finance hub.

The role requires a degree in accounting, CPA/ACCA, 3-5+ years in an MNC, strong English, and hands-on experience with SAP and MS Office. You will help ensure controls, tax calculations, and accurate financial data for management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy and Finance, CPA/ACCA or similar qualifications.
• 3-5+ years of experience in an MNC environment.
• Proficient in English with strong analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full set of accounts including accruals and provisions.
• Ensure month-end deadlines are met.
• Monitor reconciliation of Balance Sheet items – Deferred revenue and prepayments.
• Prepare Daily Sales Reports/AR backup reports.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Complete month-end closing processes.
• Prepare HFM upload files.
• Prepare month-end analysis and quarterly reports.
• Ensure internal controls comply with Group policy and local regulations.
• Calculate and submit income tax and indirect taxes.
• Post foreign currency revaluations accurately.
• Capitalize PPE and set up depreciation.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate financial data.

Job Description

• Prepare and maintain full set accounts. Ensure all expenses are properly captured including accruals and provisions


• Ensure month end deadline are adhered.


• Monitor and assist in reconciliation of AL Balance Sheet items – Deferred revenue and prepayment


• Daily Sales Report/ achoc reports (back up for AR)


• Balance Sheet reconciliation


• Month end closing


• Preparing HFM upload file


• Preparing month end analysis


• Prepare Quarterly report


• Ensure all related internal control are complied with Group policy and local regulatory requirements.


• Income tax and indirect tax calculation and submission


• Ensure Foreign Currency revaluation are posted properly


• PPE capitalisation and depreciation set up.
