Job summary

DayOne seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to manage regional finance operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will own end-to-end accounting processes in a lean environment, partnering with stakeholders across countries and functions.

The ideal candidate is a Big 4 alumnus or experienced MNC accountant looking for broader regional exposure and ownership within a growing international business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with active CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or regional finance roles.
• Big 4 audit or multinational company (MNC) experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in full-set accounting and month-end close.
• Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP environments.
• Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and statutory compliance.
• Working knowledge of SOX/internal controls.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation.
• Support multi-entity accounting activities across different countries and currencies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP reporting requirements and internal accounting policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions.
• Support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance activities.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Maintain accounting accuracy and reporting integrity within SAP S/4HANA.
• Support ad hoc finance projects, system improvements, and regional finance initiatives.
