DayOne Data Centers Malaysia I Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to support regional finance operations across multiple entities.

You will own the full accounting process end‑to‑end, partner with stakeholders across countries, and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting in a fast‑growing environment. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance roles, Big 4/MNC exposure, and a degree in accounting with a professional qualification.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (CPA/ACCA/ICAEW) preferred.
• Experience in full-set accounting and regional finance roles; Big 4/MNC background valued.
• Exposure to IFRS and US GAAP environments; audits and statutory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close for entities, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support multi-entity accounting across countries and currencies.
• Ensure IFRS/US GAAP reporting compliance and internal policies.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions.
• Support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accounting accuracy.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls/SOX.
• Maintain accuracy in SAP S/4HANA reporting.
• Support ad hoc finance projects and regional initiatives.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on accounting role supporting regional finance operations across multiple entities. The position requires someone who is comfortable owning the accounting process end‑to‑end, working in a lean environment, and partnering with stakeholders across different countries and functions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating independently while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and reporting discipline within a fast‑growing organization. Key Responsibilities

• Own month‑end close activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and variance analysis
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation
• Support multi‑entity accounting activities across different countries and currencies
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP reporting requirements and internal accounting policies
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions
• Support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance activities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records
• Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance
• Maintain accounting accuracy and reporting integrity within SAP S/4HANA
• Support ad hoc finance projects, system improvements, and regional finance initiatives

Role Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with active CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional qualification
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or regional finance roles
• Big 4 audit or multinational company (MNC) experience preferred
• Strong hands‑on experience in full‑set accounting and month‑end close
• Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP environments
• Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and statutory compliance
• Working knowledge of SOX/internal controls
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA preferred

• Experience coordinating with overseas stakeholders and external auditors
