Job summary

DayOne is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple entities in a fast-paced regional environment, focusing on full-set accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. The role requires working with IFRS/US GAAP, coordinating with auditors and tax agents, and maintaining strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has Big 4 or multinational experience and is proficient with SAP S/4HANA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with active CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or regional finance roles.
• Big 4 audit or multinational company (MNC) experience preferred.
• Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP environments.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA preferred

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close activities for assigned entities, including journal entries, reconciliations, management reports, and variance analysis
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation
• Support multi-entity accounting activities across different countries and currencies
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP reporting requirements and internal accounting policies
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries across jurisdictions
• Support corporate tax filings and statutory compliance activities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounting records
• Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance
• Maintain accounting accuracy and reporting integrity within SAP S/4HANA
• Support ad hoc finance projects, system improvements, and regional finance initiatives
