Job summary

DayOne seeks a highly skilled Finance Manager to supervise financial operations, drive reporting accuracy, and lead strategic planning across the organisation in Malaysia.

The role requires a degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA/ACCA, at least 8 years in accounting (Big 4 preferred), strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX, and experience with SAP S/4HANA. You will mentor the finance team and partner with senior leadership to shape growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting required, professional qualification preferred.
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification required.
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience; Big 4 experience preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance advantageous.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations, manage financial reporting, and drive strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, a keen analytical mind, and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Review monthly and quarterly management reports and prepare presentations for senior management, including variance analyses and financial insights.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and support business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance against targets and prepare variance reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Draft and review technical accounting papers, memos, and policy updates to ensure compliance and address emerging accounting issues.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate financial controls.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional qualifications
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with initial experience acquired in Big 4 is preferred.
• Familiar with group accounting policies, tax requirement and internal control procedures. Experience in US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance is an advantage.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated and high degree of initiative, high level of integrity with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
