Job summary

Kufong Therapy Centre Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking an Account Controller to oversee financial management and accounting operations. This full-time role sits within the finance team and supports the business’s growth and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in management accounting, budgeting and reporting, with strong knowledge of tax regulations. You will lead a small team, implement controls, and collaborate with department heads to drive cost savings

Qualifications

• 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Expertise in management accounting, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations and financial management.
• Proficient in accounting software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Mandarin-speaking capability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Female candidate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain efficient accounting systems and internal controls.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to department heads and senior management.
• Mentor and oversee the work of the accounting team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
