Job summary

Muhibbah Dua (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced finance leader to manage and supervise the entire Accounts Department in Sabah. The role requires reviewing daily accounting work, ensuring proper procedures, and advising branches on accounting matters.

The ideal candidate will handle monthly and yearly closing, prepare management reports, monitor cash flow, and interact with auditors, tax agents, and external parties. Strong leadership and independent working style are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant qualification.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA / CPA / MIA is an advantage.
• 8–10 years relevant working experience, preferably with management experience.
• Good knowledge of accounting, tax and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the overall Accounts Department.
• Review daily accounting work and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.
• Advise branches and other departments on accounting matters.
• Handle monthly and yearly closing of accounts.
• Prepare financial reports and management reports.
• Monitor company financial control, cash flow and expenses.
• Handle tax matters and liaise with tax agents.
• Liaise with auditors, Company Secretary, bankers and other external parties.
• Assist Management in financial planning, budgeting and business decisions.
• Prepare letters, reports and financial presentations when required.
• Lead, guide and coach the Accounts team.
• Monitor staff performance and ensure work is completed on time.
• Maintain good relationships with external parties and business contacts.
• Perform any other accounting or finance duties assigned by Management.
