Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation in Malaysia is seeking a Test Maintenance Technician to sustain Final Test operations in a high-volume semiconductor plant. You will perform PMs on ATE testers and handlers, calibrate instruments, and support engineers in root-cause analysis to maintain product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

This role requires a Diploma in Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering, hands-on hardware knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems.
• Experience with ATE platforms (UltraFLEX, V93K, T2000) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with handler mechanics and thermal control systems.
• Good data analysis and problem-solving skills; pattern recognition.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and procedural rigor.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors regularly.
• Clean and replace consumable parts such as contactor pins and indexers.
• Calibrate test system instruments (voltage sources, pins, PMUs).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in the test cell (mechanical/electrical/thermal).
• Support Test Engineers with data for root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineers to implement process improvements and yield fixes.
• Assist in failure analyses and root cause investigations.
• Prepare and maintain test-related documentation and reports.
