Job summary

Renesas Electronics Malaysia is seeking a Test Maintenance Technician to sustain Final Test operations in a high-volume semiconductor environment. The role focuses on maintaining stable test performance, supporting equipment and hardware, and ensuring product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Expect to perform regular preventive maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors, replacing consumables, and calibrating instruments.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
• Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical systems.
• Experience with ATE platforms (UltraFLEX, V93K, T2000) and handlers is a plus.
• Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, monthly, 3/6 monthly preventative maintenance on ATE testers, handlers, and contactors.
• Clean and replace consumable parts like contactor pins, sockets, and indexers.
• Calibrate test system instruments (voltage sources, digital pins, PMUs).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in the test cell—mechanical, electrical, and thermal.
• Support Test Engineers in correlating failures and gathering data for root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineers to implement process improvements.
