Job summary

Exyte in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, supervise, and execute mechanical installation activities for semiconductor tool installations and high-technology projects.

You will review drawings, coordinate interfaces with tool installation and other MEP disciplines, supervise subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and timeliness across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline required.
• Diploma holders with substantial project experience may be considered.
• Certifications in safety (HSE) preferred.
• Experience with HI-TECH/semiconductor project environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee mechanical works from engineering through handover.
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and vendor documents for compliance.
• Coordinate interfaces with tool installation and other MEP systems.
• Supervise subcontractors, monitor manpower, materials, and progress.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and project standards.
