Job summary

Oppstar Technology in Penang is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years in semiconductor capital equipment to own the electromechanical design, layout and manufacturing transition from R&D to high-volume production.

You will lead GD&T-driven layout, packaging and integration of robotic and electrical control panels, ensure strict Copy Exactly execution, safety compliance (UL 508A/IEC 61439), and champion SEMI standards across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in semiconductor capital equipment.
• Strong grasp of GD&T and precision engineering principles.
• Experience leading NPI transitions to high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of SEMI standards and Copy Exactly methodology.
• Familiarity with electrical enclosures and safety standards (UL 508A / IEC 61439).

Responsibilities

• Drive the NPI transition of semiconductor capital equipment into high-volume manufacturing.
• Lead electromechanical layout, packaging, and routing of mechanical structures and control panels.
• Apply GD&T to manufacturing prints for tight tolerances.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and cleanroom protocols.
• Maintain Copy Exactly practices to duplicate validated designs in production.
