Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to develop, optimize, qualify, and establish robust semiconductor assembly processes from wafer prep to final cleaning.

The role collaborates with NPI, Production, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product introductions and smooth mass production transfer. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in semiconductor assembly/manufacturing engineering, with experience across multiple assembly steps such as wafer mounting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, E&E, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Materials, Semiconductor, or related disciplines).
• Minimum 5 years experience in semiconductor assembly, packaging, or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
• Candidates with experience in multiple assembly processes, especially power semiconductor packaging, will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and qualify assembly processes from wafer preparation to final cleaning.
• Prepare and execute process development plans, engineering & qualification builds, and process validation activities.
• Establish process parameters, specifications, control limits, and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate process feasibility, identify manufacturing risks, and implement preventive actions before mass production.
• Review process capability, yield performance, defect trends, and qualification results.
• Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and qualification summaries.
• Support safe launch activities and ensure critical issues are resolved before mass production release.
• Wafer Mounting, Wafer Dicing, Solder Printing, Die Bonding, Clip Bonding, Vacuum Reflow, Flux Cleaning process optimization.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Production, Equipment Eng, QA, Product Eng, Material Eng, and other departments.
• Provide technical support during engineering builds, qualification builds, troubleshooting, and production ramp-up.
• Coordinate process readiness, material availability, and documentation before qualification and mass production.
• Maintain process specifications, SOPs, work instructions, process flow documents, and risk assessments.
• Support PFMEA reviews and implementation of appropriate process controls.
