Job summary

Capital Dynamics seeks a research analyst to conduct in-depth analysis of the global semiconductor sector, including both listed and unlisted players. You will understand business models, derive intrinsic valuations, and monitor market developments to support investment ideas for the Fund Manager.

The role requires advanced degrees in science or engineering, strong English communication, and a willingness to work under tight deadlines; Mandarin is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral qualifications in Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Materials, Chemical, Mechanical or E&E Engineering from reputable universities.
• Additional qualification in Accountancy, Finance or Management or some working experience in the semiconductor sector is an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines with integrity and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely, critical and in-depth research and analysis of the global semiconductor industry, listed and unlisted companies in the semiconductor supply chain.
• Understanding the companies' business models, arriving at their intrinsic valuations and monitoring industry developments and trends is an essential part of this position.
• The successful applicant will be required to generate sound investment ideas to the Fund Manager.
