Job summary

Aquaria KLCC is seeking a Security Officer to implement and enforce security guidelines, supervise daily security functions and drive safety programs. You will ensure fire safety compliance and maintain critical records while coordinating training and SOPs with the KL Convention Center.

The role requires a minimum of 1–2 years in security and safety, strong communication, and the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school or diploma or equivalent is minimum educational requirement.
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience in security and safety is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for documenting incidents and communicating with colleagues and the public.
• Ability to interact with the public, employees, and handle conflict or crisis situations professionally.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal laws related to security and safety is essential.
• Security personnel may need to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

• Conduct regular training & briefings for all staff on Security, Emergency & Evacuation procedures.
• Maintain records of all security and fire safety matters.
• Manage, operate, repair and maintain CCTV systems.

Responsible and to ensure that the aquarium comply with the fire safety requirement as per fire safety code

Document security/ safety review and make recommendations in security/ safety program. Provide comprehensive reports on findings and recommend solution. Follow up on all outstanding issues.

Generate, maintain & enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). All changes are to be documented with subsequent approvals. This must be synchronized with KL Convention Center’s SOPs.

Conduct Regular Training & Briefings for all staff with respect to Security, Emergency & Evacuation Procedures.

Maintain records of all security and fire safety matters

To manage, operate, repair & maintain the CCTV Systems.

Qualification:

High school / diploma or equivalent is minimum educational requirement.

Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is often required

Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for documenting incidents and effectively communicating with colleagues and the public.

The ability to interact with the public, employees, and handle conflict or crisis situations with professionalism and diplomacy.

Understanding and knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to security and safety is essential.

Experience:
