Job summary

Encore Melaka is seeking a security officer to support safety and security operations across the premises, including coordinating with outsourced guards, managing access controls, and conducting incident investigations. The role requires proactive monitoring, reporting, and safety briefings for contractors.

The position involves daily oversight of security procedures within the hostel, theatre and parking areas, with emphasis on maintaining orderly environments and quick emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Assist all departments regarding safety and security matters
• Assist Emergency Response Team (ERT) when emergency situations arise
• Assist hostel warden in any incident inside the hostel area if required
• Manage communication with outsource security company to ensure smooth running daily operations
• Manage IOC and occupy it all the time
• Manage all keys of building and control the use of keys to access buildings and security equipment storages
• Manage outsource security guards of daily operations duties and attendants
• Record any incident that occurs in the premises and all outsource guard's details including bio-data and security vetting
• Conduct investigation of any incident reported by finding proofs and evidences
• Conduct safety briefing to the contractors before doing any works
• Ensure no security threats towards the company
• Ensure road and parking areas are kept in good order and free of congestion
• Maintain awareness of suspicious activities and inform higher superior
• Ensure Fire Alarm System functioning and well maintained
• Ensure Electronic Magnetic Lock (EMP) are in good condition and well-functioning
