Job summary

Hershey Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Protection Officer to safeguard people, facilities, assets, and operations. You will support day-to-day security operations, incident management, access control, and emergency response while aligning with food defense and safety objectives.

The role requires security management knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security or related environments.
• Experience leading or coordinating security personnel and operations.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, and visitor management systems.
• Experience with incident investigations and emergency response.
• Familiarity with food defense, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support daily security operations and coordinate coverage with outsourced security personnel.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, visitor management, contractor management, and fire protection systems.
• Operate and manage the Security Control Room; document and escalate incidents as needed.
• Respond to security and emergency incidents coordinating with internal teams and leadership.
• Conduct inspections, searches, patrols, and access checks to maintain a secure facility.
• Assist with investigations, incident reporting, risk assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
• Support business continuity planning, crisis management exercises, and emergency preparedness.
• Promote a strong safety and security culture by enforcing policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain relationships with employees, contractors, vendors, government authorities, and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to enhance site security performance.
