Job summary

Shopee in Malaysia is seeking a Security Operations staff to support daily security at company facilities, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, assets, and premises. The role involves monitoring access, patrolling, CCTV, and incident reporting during day and night shifts.

The ideal candidate is physically fit, willing to work weekends/public holidays, able to follow SOPs, communicate effectively, and maintain logs.

Qualifications

• SPM / STPM or equivalent.
• Fresh candidates may also be considered.
• No criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to the facility and conduct routine security patrols.
• Perform visitor, vehicle, and access checks in accordance with security SOPs.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to security or safety incidents when required.
• Maintain daily security logs and report any incidents or suspicious activities.
• Assist with emergency response and other security-related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Shift & Working Hours

• Rotational shifts: Day / Night / Mid Shift
• Shift options: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• May be required to work weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor access to the facility and conduct routine security patrols.
• Perform visitor, vehicle, and access checks in accordance with security SOPs.

Requirements:

• SPM / STPM or equivalent.

• Prior experience as a Security Guard, Security Officer, or similar role is an advantage; fresh candidates may also be considered.
• Physically fit and able to work shifts and perform regular patrols.
• Able to follow security procedures and communicate effectively.
• Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Willing to work weekends and public holidays.
• No criminal record.
