Job summary

HTC Global Services in Malaysia is seeking an Application Support Engineer to provide L1/L2 support for business-critical applications operating in an air-gapped, restricted-network environment. Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux/RHEL environments.
• Basic SQL skills for data queries and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of ITIL incident, problem and change processes.
• Good documentation and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Ability to follow strict procedures in high-security environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 application support for business-critical apps in an air-gapped environment.
• Triage incidents, identify outages or performance issues, and escalate as needed.
• Monitor health using on-premises tools and perform basic root-cause analysis.
• Perform operational tasks like service restarts, log checks and health checks.
• Assist with secured transfers of code releases, patches and logs via removable media.
• Support deployments and upgrades in offline environments following runbooks.
• Document findings, maintain runbooks and update knowledge base articles.
• Assist with user access management and environment configuration.
• Participate in incident, problem and change management processes.
• Maintain strong documentation and ensure regulatory audit readiness.
