Job summary

Marks & Spencer Malaysia seeks a Section Manager to lead the lingerie department, drive sales, and maintain merchandising and service standards. You will manage stock, coach a team, and ensure an inviting shopping experience.

Responsibilities include visual merchandising with the VM team, inventory accuracy, budgeting, and delivering exceptional customer service while achieving sales targets. Prior supervisory experience in fashion or specialty retail is preferred.

• 2+ years of retail supervisory or management experience, preferably in fashion, apparel, food or specialty retail.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
• Good commercial awareness with ability to analyze sales and stock data.

What You’ll Be Doing

Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and identifying commercial opportunities within the lingerie department.

Deliver an exceptional customer experience by providing professional product advice, maintaining well-stocked displays, and ensuring fitting rooms and service areas operate efficiently.

Maintain attractive visual merchandising and collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team to showcase key lingerie collections and promotions.

Manage stock availability, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and competitor pricing to maximize sales and profitability.

Improve operational efficiency by managing staffing, minimizing stock loss, and planning for seasonal product launches and promotions.

Lead, coach, and develop the lingerie team through performance management, training, and regular feedback.

Support overall store operations and ensure departmental expenses remain within budget.

Ideal Candidate

At least 2 years of retail supervisory or management experience, preferably in fashion, apparel, food or specialty retail.

Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.

Good commercial awareness with the ability to analyze sales and stock data.

Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Passion for fashion and food, with the ability to create a welcoming and personalized shopping experience.

Adaptable, proactive, and able to perform in a fast-paced retail environment.
