Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, or related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of English teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Experience with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE) desirable.
• Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, national curricula, or equivalent.
• Design comprehensive lesson plans, materials, and assessments developing language skills and literary analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons (Lower and/or Upper Secondary) aligned with the school’s curriculum framework (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE, national curriculum, or equivalent).
• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments that develop students’ language skills, literary analysis, and effective communication.
• Foster a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and confident self-expression.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Integrate real-world contexts, cross-curricular links, and contemporary texts to make learning relevant and meaningful.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence, share best practices, and contribute to continuous school improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, prepare progress reports, and communicate proactively with parents and guardians.

Requirements:

• Local Malaysian
• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, or a related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in English at the secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge, classroom management, and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE) is highly desirable.
