Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Literature, or related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Diploma in Education, B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of English teaching experience at the secondary level.
• Experience with international curricula (e.g., Cambridge IGCSE) desirable.
• Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, national curricula, or equivalent.
• Design comprehensive lesson plans, materials, and assessments developing language skills and literary analysis.
• Foster a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment encouraging creativity and critical thinking.
• Utilise diverse teaching strategies and digital tools to enhance delivery and engagement.
• Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence and contribute to school improvement.
• Maintain records of student performance and communicate with parents and guardians.
• Participate in school events, English-related competitions, and professional development.
