Job summary

ELSA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner in Johor, Malaysia, to plan, coordinate, and optimize all maintenance activities. The role focuses on developing detailed schedules aligned with available manpower, tools, and equipment, ensuring all preventive, corrective, and shutdown work is executed on time.

The ideal candidate has minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance planning, with preference for Oil & Gas or process industries, and solid CMMS/Primavera P6 knowledge to drive plant

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or process industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and optimize all maintenance activities; develop detailed maintenance schedules.
• Prioritize maintenance requests, estimate resource requirements, ensure preventive, corrective, and shutdown tasks are executed on time.
• Allocate resources, monitor progress, adjust schedules, lead scheduling meetings, communicate updates, maintain documentation, ensure safety/regulatory compliance.

Minimum Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, or Process Plant environment.

Scope of Works:

• Responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing all maintenance activities to ensure plant or facility operations run smoothly and efficiently. The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed maintenance schedules by aligning approved work orders with available manpower, tools, materials, and equipment.
• This includes prioritizing maintenance requests, estimating resource requirements, and ensuring that preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities are executed at the right time with minimal disruption to operations.
• Key duties include allocating resources, monitoring work progress, adjusting schedules for urgent or emergency tasks, and utilizing systems such as CMMS to track work orders and performance. The role also involves leading scheduling meetings, communicating updates to stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements while maximizing equipment reliability and plant availability.
