Job summary

Maintenance Planner position in Malaysia's Johor region seeks 5+ years in planning and scheduling, preferably in oil & gas or related processes. You will plan and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime, review requests, and prepare job plans with required manpower, materials, tools, and safety measures.

Collaborate with MAC, operations, and contractors to schedule preventive, corrective, and shutdown activities, analyze performance data, and drive reliability, cost reductions, and safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or process plants preferred.
• Ability to plan manpower, materials, tools, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain reliable operations.
• Review work requests, conduct field checks, and prepare detailed job plans.
• Prepare job packages and manage work orders in CMMS/SAP PM.
• Coordinate with MAC, operations, maintenance teams, and contractors for preventive, corrective, and shutdown work.
• Analyze maintenance data, monitor performance, and drive improvements for reliability and cost control.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and develop detailed work orders.

Job description

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or process plant environments.

Scope of Works:

• Responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure reliable plant operations and minimize downtime.
• The role includes reviewing work requests, conducting field checks, and preparing job plans covering manpower, materials, tools, and safety requirements.
• Maintenance Planners also prepare job packages, manage work orders in CMMS/SAP, and ensure all required resources are available before work starts.
• Work closely with MAC, operations, maintenance teams, and contractors to plan and schedule preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities based on production requirements.
• Analyze maintenance data, monitor performance, and improve planning processes to enhance equipment reliability, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling
• Experience with CMMS/SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)
• Experience in work order management and job package preparation
• Knowledge of resource planning, including manpower, tools, and materials
• Basic knowledge of cost estimation and contracting

Technical Knowledge:

• Good understanding of plant equipment and systems, including rotating equipment, electrical, and instrumentation
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling
