Job summary

Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru is seeking a Maintenance Planner to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance using CMMS, ensuring timely scheduling of resources and materials for efficient operations.

You will work with Operations, Equipment Maintenance, and Procurement to optimize maintenance plans, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with SOPs. The role is based on-site in Malaysia, with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 2 years experience in similar planning capacity.
• Excellent communication across departments and levels for planning.
• Strong analytical ability to identify trends and provide feedback.
• Ability to comply with standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work, including planning for materials, labor and supporting equipment.
• Establish a comprehensive masterplan for all equipment maintenance.
• Review and revise daily, weekly and monthly planned maintenance.
• Handover work packages to Maintenance Department for planned maintenance.
• Inform Engineering M&R Management on equipment support from store to machine.
• Create maintenance work requests raised by Team Leaders/Duty Managers.
• Issue material request forms to Warehouse based on planning requirements.
• Create PR and expedite with Procurement for PO issuance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports as required by management.
• Evaluate PMDS for subordinates and coaching.
• Perform other duties to meet departmental objectives.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for planning and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance works on all equipment using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Resource Management

Plan and schedule the work required for maintenance including planning for material, labor and supporting equipment

Assets Management

• Establish a comprehensive masterplan for all equipment planned maintenance program.
• Review and revise the maintenance of the daily, weekly and monthly planned maintenance
• Hand over work packages to Maintenance Department for planned maintenance
• Inform the Engineering M&R Management team on the actual day of arrangement of supporting equipment from store to machine
• Create maintenance Work Request that is raised by Team Leaders/Duty Managers

Inventory Management

Issue material request form to Warehouse based on the maintenance planning requirements

Documentation Controller

Create PR and communicate, expedite with Procurement Department for issuance of PO

Key peer relationship maintenance

• Communicate with Operations and Equipment Maintenance team on the latest update of planned maintenance
• Communicate and coordinate with Operation and Maintenance team on equipment

PTP WoW Maturity

• Prepare and compile weekly and monthly KPI reports in accordance to the timeline established by the management
• Prepare and evaluate PMDS for subordinates
• Any other duties that are assigned by superior which is not stated at the abovementioned to achieve the departmental and sectional objectives.

REQUIREMENT

1. Possess Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Electronic Engineering or its equivalent / related experience.
2. 2 years experience in similar planning capacity.
3. Interpersonal skill: Ability to communicate with various departments and levels for planning of departmental activities.
4. Analytical: Ability to analyze data and to see the trending or pattern and sound feedback to the team.
5. Ability to comply with regulation and standard operating procedures.
6. Initiative: Ability to be self-starter and to take necessary actions for effective and efficient job performance with less supervision.
7. Computer literate with knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office.
8. Ability to write and speak in English is an advantage.
