Job summary

S.P. Mega is seeking a Site Scaffold Inspector to ensure all scaffolds comply with Malaysian standards and safety regulations.

You will inspect, certify, and report on scaffold conditions, and coordinate with the safety team and project management on corrective actions. The role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Engineering/Construction, CIDB/NIOSH Scaffolding Inspector Certificate, CIDB Green Card, and at least 1 year of scaffolding inspection experience in construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Construction or equivalent.
• Valid CIDB/NIOSH Scaffolding Inspector Certificate.
• CIDB Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all erected scaffolds before first use, after any modification and at scheduled intervals.
• Ensure scaffolding complies with DOSH, CIDB, and Malaysian standards.
• Issue scaffold inspection tags and certificates (Green/Yellow/Red).
• Conduct routine site inspections and identify unsafe scaffolding conditions.
• Stop work immediately if scaffolding poses safety hazards.
• Prepare and maintain scaffold inspection reports and records.
• Liaise with Site Supervisor, Safety Officer and Project Manager on corrective actions.
• Ensure scaffold materials are in good condition and fit for use.
• Participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
• Assist during DOSH, CIDB, client or internal safety inspections.

• Liaise with Site Supervisor, Safety Officer (SHO), and Project Manager regarding corrective actions.
• Ensure scaffold materials are in good condition and fit for use.
• Participate in HSE meetings, toolbox talks, and safety audits.
• Assist during DOSH, CIDB, client, or internal safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and project safety requirements.
• Perform any other duties assigned by superiors as required.

Requirements:

• Must possess at least a Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid CIDB / NIOSH Scaffolding Inspector Certificate.
• Must hold a valid CIDB Green Card.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in scaffolding inspection within the construction industry.
• Good knowledge of scaffolding standards, inspection procedures, and safety regulations.
• Willing to be site-based in East Ledang – Iskandar Puteri , Johor
