Job summary

I Con Team Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Supervisor in Kedah/Alor Setar to oversee safety inspections, inductions and compliance with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967. You will drive safe work practices and coordinate toolbox talks with site teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in construction safety, a valid SSS competency license registered with DOSH/JKKP, and fluency in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Own transport and proactive attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in construction industry.
• Degree/ Diploma in Safety and Health or related qualification.
• Possess a valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) Competency License registered with DOSH / JKKP (Yellow book).
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Having experience dealing with relevant authorities.
• Possess own transport.
• Good work attitude & self-motivate.
• Good skill in computer such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections, safety patrols, and intervention of unsafe conditions and unsafe acts to correct the hazardous conditions in the workplace.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety induction.
• Ensure the provisions of the act and any regulation (OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967) made there under are complied with.
• Promote safe conduct of work, ensure personal protective equipment is worn and rectify hazardous construction methods.
• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
• Ensure that all accidents are reported, documented, investigated and recommended improvement actions.
• Implement safety activities according to the required Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) and ISO standards.
• To perform any other duties as and when required by the superior and/or Management.
