Job summary

Mulia Property Deveploment Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Scaffold Inspector to join our Kuala Lumpur team. You will inspect scaffolding before use, issue and manage tags, check foundations, bracing, guardrails and access, and conduct reinspections after modifications or severe weather.

You'll monitor work at height, verify safety plans like PTW and fall-protection, coordinate defect rectification, maintain records, and lead safety briefings to ensure on-site safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect newly erected, altered, repaired, relocated and existing scaffolds before release for use.
• Issue, update, suspend or remove scaffold tags and red-tag/barricade unsafe or incomplete scaffolds.
• Check foundations, structural members, ties, bracing, platforms, guardrails, access and loading arrangements.
• Conduct scheduled and event-driven reinspections after modification, severe weather, impact or prolonged non-use.
• Monitor work at height, focusing on activities at 2 metres and above and any task with a fall risk.
• Verify PTW, HIRARC, method statements, fall-protection plans and task-specific rescue arrangements.
• Inspect harnesses, lanyards, lifelines, anchor points, edge protection, floor openings and safe access.
• Coordinate defect rectification, prevent unauthorised scaffold alterations and stop unsafe work.
• Maintain scaffold registers, inspection checklists, photographs, defect reports and closure records.
• Conduct safety briefings, report incidents/near misses and support work-at-height rescue readiness.
