Job summary

Leopad Group of Companies is seeking a Scaffold Inspector in Malaysia to inspect newly erected scaffolding, issue Green Tags, and prepare comprehensive inspection reports for clients. You will ensure compliance with ISO standards, DOSH regulations, and project safety requirements at our Kedah site.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years' experience in scaffolding, knowledge of oil & gas codes, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of scaffolding.
• Awareness of ISO processes.
• Oil and Gas industry knowledge required.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Must be registered under DOSH; Scaffold Inspection Certificate for intermediate holders.
• 2–3 years of experience in the field.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Good communication, negotiation skills and integrity.
• Organized, able to work under pressure with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Inspect newly erected scaffolding and conduct re-inspections in accordance with international standards.
• Place the Green Tag after inspection to confirm safe use.
• Prepare inspection checklists, handover documents, and submit to client for approval.
• Inspect scaffolding materials and submit checklists to client for verification.
• Conduct regular site walkabouts and prepare findings reports for non-conformities or unsafe conditions.
• Provide recommendations to project team to rectify findings promptly.
• Ensure PPE compliance and safety regulations are followed.
• Assist and guide supervisors on erection methodologies and related requirements.
• Conduct re-inspections after modifications, alterations, or adverse weather.
• Attend meetings and conduct daily toolbox meetings when Project Coordinator is absent.
• Prepare and submit monthly BS, SHBR, PPE Checklist, and KPI reports within deadlines.
• Comply with Company Policies including QMS, SQMS, EMS, OSH, ABMS, SOPs and KPIs.
• Prioritize SHE awareness in all daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by superior, HOD, or Branch Manager.

WORKING LOCATION:

• Inspect newly erected scaffolding and conduct re-inspections in accordance with applicable international scaffolding standards.
• Place the Green Tag after inspection to confirm that the scaffolding is safe for use.
• Prepare scaffold inspection checklists, handover documents, and submit them to the client for approval.
• Inspect all scaffolding materials for new projects, prepare the necessary checklists, and submit them to the client for verification.
• Conduct regular site walkabouts and prepare findings reports for any non-conformities or unsafe conditions identified.
• Provide recommendations and guidance to the project team to ensure findings are rectified promptly.
• Ensure proper PPE is worn at all times and comply with all applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Assist and guide supervisors on scaffolding erection methodologies and related requirements.
• Conduct re-inspections of scaffolding after modifications, alterations, or adverse weather conditions.
• Attend all relevant meetings and conduct daily toolbox meetings in the absence of the Project Coordinator.
• Prepare and submit monthly BS, SHBR, PPE Checklist, and KPI reports within the required timeframe.
• Comply with all Company Policies, including QMS, SQMS, EMS, OSH, ABMS, SOPs, departmental procedures, goals, objectives, and KPIs.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with the Company's SHE Policy, Procedures, Standards, Legal Requirements, and Management Instructions.
• Prioritize Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) awareness in all daily activities.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior, HOD, or Branch Manager.

QUALIFICATION:

• Good knowledge of scaffolding.
• Awareness of ISO processes.
• Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry is a must.
• Good knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess a minimum Intermediate or Advanced Level Competency and be registered under DOSH.
• For Intermediate Holders, must possess a Scaffold Inspection Certificate.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel).
• Good communication and negotiation skills and a high level of integrity.
• Full competence in project collation, communication, and reporting.
• Organized approach and able to work under pressure.
• Leadership qualities.
