Job summary

Wilmar International is seeking an SAP specialist to provide ongoing MM/SD support and hands-on configuration in a multicultural environment. The role requires depth in SAP MM, SD and ABAP, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will work with IT and business teams across regions, ensuring secure and compliant developments, and contributing to system enhancements and deployments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Experience in planning, design, development, testing and release of complex SAP objects.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing SAP application support in MM and SD, both functional and technical.
• Perform detailed systems analysis and propose improvements.
• Hands-on MM/SD configuration and ABAP development where needed.
• Develop integrations and data exchanges (ALE/iDoc, interfaces, conversions, forms).
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to improve processes.

Job description

• Provide on-going SAP application technical and functional support primarily in areas of MM and SD.
• Perform detail systems analysis and provides solutions for system improvements.
• Perform hands-on MM and SD configuration.
• Able to work with all aspects of SAP RICEF and is expected to help with queries relating to daily operational transactions, reports, interfaces, enhancements, ALE/iDoc, Conversions, forms, Web DynPro etc
• Work well with team members in areas of SAP application maintenance as well as IT projects.
• Ensure all developments are audit and security complaint in accordance to IT policies and guidelines.
• Analyse business information and work independently from requirement gathering workshops to Unit Test, SIT, UAT, training and deployment to production.
• Design and develop integration solutions for data exchanges with other IT applications across various regions.
• Communicate and work closely with key business stakeholders on systems and process improvements

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• At least 5 years of hands-on configuration / development experience with SAP MM, SD and ABAP
• Fluent in English language (both written and verbal)
• Experience in planning, design, development, testing and release of complex custom objects
• Ability to perform and manage complex developments
• Ability to work well in a multi-cultural team
• Good Analytical ability and Data gathering / diagnosis ability
• Strong ability to understand complex system landscape configuration considering the E2E view
• Knowledge in SAP FI will be advantageous
