Job summary

AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking an Integrations & Development SME to support SAP integrations and ABAP development. The role focuses on incident resolution, monitoring, and ABAP enhancements within complex SAP environments.

The candidate will provide Level 2 support for BAU requests, manage changes, and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable SAP services across landscapes. Relevant SAP Integration Suite and ABAP experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Engineering or Business‑related discipline majoring in computing systems.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP support, mainly SAP Integration Suite and ABAP custom development.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Integration Suite: SOAP, REST APIs, OData services, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, XSLT, JSON, API security and authentication mechanisms.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP ABAP: ALV, BAPI, IDoc, ALE, Smartforms, SAPScript, Adobe Forms, BADI, BTE, Enhancement Framework, ABAP Objects, Workflow.
• Experience with other SAP applications/modules (PO, FICO, TRM, ARIBA, CONCUR) considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Resolve production incidents and monitor SAP integration flows to ensure stable operations.
• Provide Level 2 support for service requests, incidents and BAU changes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot iFlows, APIs, and connectivity between SAP and non‑SAP apps.
• Support ABAP development tasks including forms, reports, IDOC, BAPI and enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain runbooks, documentation, and change deployment templates.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to complete deployments within SLA.

About the Role

Integrations & Development subject matter expert (SME) in supporting technical areas for SAP integrations and custom SAP applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Key role for ongoing daily support resolving production incidents, performing monitoring, troubleshooting, enhancements and development services for AIA integrations and custom SAP applications.
• Provide Level 2 support for service requests, incidents and BAU change requests – primarily focused on moderate to high complexity areas defined by the Complexity Matrix and SOP.
• Integration Support: monitor integration flows (iFlows), message processing, APIs and connectivity services; investigate and resolve integration failures involving SAP and non‑SAP applications; perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions; support interface deployments, testing and transport activities across landscapes; maintain integration documentation, support procedures and operational runbooks.
• Custom Development (ABAP) Support: support ABAP programming in areas such as SAPscript, Smartforms, PDF forms, query reports, list reporting, ALV reporting, flat file interfaces, IDOC, ALE, BAPI, DMEE conversion, BDC, LSMW, user exits, BADI, enhancement implementation, enhancement spot, BTE and workflow; review ABAP code of colleagues to ensure adherence to AIA programming standards.
• Perform BAU activities – incident and service request: diagnosis, investigation, troubleshooting, configuration changes or fixes, vendor coordination; resolve and close tickets within SLA and ideal TAT.
• Perform BAU change request: develop and update Change Scope Analysis (CSA), Functional Specification Documentation (FSD); perform configuration/code changes and unit tests; prepare test scenarios and acceptance criteria; inform on readiness for production deployment; prepare and submit change deployment template; close ticket upon successful deployment.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP support, mainly SAP Integration Suite and ABAP custom development.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Integration Suite: SOAP, REST APIs, OData services, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, XSLT, JSON, API security and authentication mechanisms.
