Job summary

AIA Digital+ in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Integrations & Development SME to support SAP integrations and ABAP development. You will monitor SAP Integration Suite, resolve production incidents, and ensure alignment with AIA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in SAP support focusing on SAP Integration Suite and ABAP development.
• Hands-on experience with SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, JSON and API security.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for SAP integration-related requests and BAU changes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot SAP Integration Suite interfaces and connectivity.
• Perform RCA and preventive actions; manage deployments and transports.
• Collaborate with SAP functional, middleware teams and vendors.

Job description

• Integrations & Development subject matter expert (SME) in supporting technical areas for SAP integrations and custom SAP applications.
• Key role providing operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancement services for SAP Integration Suite. Ensuring seamless integration between all applications used within AIA while maintaining high system availability, performance, and compliance under AIA established architecture and best practices.
• Provide on-going support resolving production incidents for the SAP ECC system in relation to programming work in ABAP development. Ensuring programs are coded and delivered according to AIA programming standards while maintaining necessary documentation of the development work.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for service request, incidents & BAU changes requests - primarily focused in moderate to high complexity as per Complexity Matrix and Standard Operating Procedure defined for below areas:

Integration Support:

• Monitor integration flows (iFlows), message processing, APIs, and connectivity services.
• Investigate and resolve integration failures involving SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions.
• Support interface deployments, testing, and transport activities across landscapes.
• Maintain integration documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Work closely with SAP functional teams, middleware teams, and external vendors to resolve issues.

Custom Development (ABAP) Support:

• Forms: SAPscript, Smartforms, PDF forms
• Report: Query report, List reporting, ALV reporting,
• Interface: Flat file (in txt/excel format), IDOC, ALE, BAPI, Data Medium Exchange Engine (DMEE)
• Conversion: BDC, LSMW
• Enhancement: user exits, BADI, Enhancement Implementation, Enhancement Spot, Business Transaction Events (BTE).
• Others: Workflow, Screen painting, Dialog/DYNPRO programming
• Perform ABAP code review of ABAP colleagues (QA check) to ensure programs delivered adhere to AIA programming standards.

Perform BAU Activities – Incident and Service Request:

• Perform configuration changes/ fixes or work closely with vendors where necessary to resolve incident.
• Resolve and close ticket within Service Level Agreement (SLA) and ideal Turn Around Time (TAT)

Perform BAU Change Request:

• Develop & update Change Scope Analysis (CSA) and documentation (i.e. Functional Specification Documentation (FSD)).
• Perform configuration / code changes & Unit Test (including coordination with 3rd party where necessary).
• Inform on readiness for Production deployment.
• Prepare & submit Change Deployment Template.
• Close ticket upon successful Production deployment.
• Ensure solutions are consistent with regional design architecture.
• Positive collaboration with all stakeholders on BAU related matters.
• Support end users in system usage and assist in raising overall SAP proficiency of the end user base and act as SAP ambassador.
• Provide training/Knowledge sharing within team (where necessary).
• May require short term travel, active standby, and shift arrangements.
• Supporting Team Manager on work assignments as per required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree Information Technology/Systems, or Engineering or Business-related degree majoring in computing systems
• Minimum 5 year's experience in SAP support field mainly SAP Integration Suite and ABAP custom development.
• Hands-on experience in SAP Integration Suite: SOAP, REST APIs, OData services, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, XML, XSLT, JSON, API security and authentication mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience in SAP ABAP: ALV, BAPI, IDoc, ALE, Smartforms, SAPScripts, Adobe Form, BAdi, BTE, Enhancement Framework, ABAP Objects, Workflow.
• Experience with other SAP application/Module (PO/ FICO/ TRM/ ARIBA/ CONCUR) will be advantageous.
• Have relevant SAP certification.
