Job summary

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad Group is seeking a data management specialist based in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. You will manage master data in SAP ECC6, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with global stakeholders to meet data standards.

The role welcomes fresh graduates and requires a proactive learner with strong analytical skills, familiarity with AI concepts, and ability to travel when needed. Training will cover business processes and data integration across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of SAP/ERP modules through coursework, internship, self-study, or practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for translating requirements into solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in local language and preferably English.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, collaborate, and work in a global team.
• Familiarity with AI concepts/tools or applications (e.g., generative AI, ML basics).
• Willingness to travel locally and overseas when required; own transport is preferred for travel within Klang Valley.
• Malaysian citizens only.

Responsibilities

• Review, create and update master data timely and per SLAs.
• Ensure data integrity in SAP ECC6 system.
• Perform data validation and quality checks with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global data owners to support data requirements.
• Conduct training for new users on data management.
• Support SAP ad-hoc projects and understand business processes.
• Document existing processes and work instructions by the Centre Data Team.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
• Participate in SAP ticketing and change requests (CR).
• Attend meetings with team and stakeholders.

Job description

THIS POSITION IS BASED IN KLK, LOCATED IN MUTIARA DAMANSARA, PETALING JAYA, SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, Create and update master data in timely manner and in accordance to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness of master data in global SAP ECC6 system.
• Perform data validation and quality checks, identify data discrepancies or inconsistencies with relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with data owner stakeholders across globally to support data requirements/extraction and ensure alignment of data standards and processes.
• Conduct training to ensure all new users receive adequate understanding in data management.
• Support in SAP ad-hoc project, to understand Business Processes and data integration requirements.
• Assist the Centre Data Team in documenting existing business processes, process flow and prepare Work instructions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate/digitalize existing processes
• Participate in continuous process improvement of SAP ticketing and CR.
• Participate in various meetings and discussions with the team and stakeholders.

Job Success Requirements

• Willingness to learn, take ownership, collaborate with others, and work in a global team environment.
• Familiarity with AI concepts, tools, or applications through formal coursework, self-study, or practical use, such as generative AI or machine learning fundamentals.
• Willingness to travel locally and overseas when required; own transport is preferred for travel within Klang Valley.

Additional Notes/Desirable Skills/Required Skills

• Proficient in MS-Excel and data analytics / manipulation/programming.
• Enjoys working with large data, organized & thorough with attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP Data Management or Data Mining is an added advantage, but not essential.
• Candidates with a positive attitude and growth mindset should apply.
• Strong understanding of fundamental business processes.
• Demonstrated willingness to use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude to improve day-to-day productivity, including document preparation, information summarization, analysis and repetitive task automation.
• Understanding of process and discrete manufacturing and related business processes is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages and Power Virtual Agents)
