Job summary

Unison Group is seeking an experienced SAP Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead SAP programs and deliver end-to-end SAP transformations. You will drive project governance, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional team leadership across globe, ensuring alignment with business goals.

The role emphasizes process optimization, risk management, and continuous improvement with a focus on lean methods and cost efficiency in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SAP project/program management.
• Proven track record in delivering end-to-end SAP implementations or transformations.
• Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary and global (onshore/offshore) teams.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Experience in budget management, cost control, and commercial accountability.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, etc.) and integration points.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects across modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, etc.).
• Manage full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Ensure delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, and escalation frameworks.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to define requirements and drive alignment.
• Challenge business requirements to ensure optimal system design and efficiency.
• Act as the primary contact for SAP-related initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability across global teams.
• Ensure effective resource planning and utilization.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Maintain strong controls and governance throughout the SAP environment.
• Drive process improvements and system optimization initiatives.

Overview:

The SAP Manager is responsible for leading SAP programs, managing end-to-end project delivery, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role provides structure across project planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, while driving system optimization and digital transformation initiatives.

Primary Workflow:

1. SAP Program & Project Management

• Lead SAP implementation, rollout, and enhancement projects across modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, etc.)


• Manage full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure


• Ensure delivery within scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards


• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting, and escalation frameworks

2. Stakeholder & Business Engagement

• Partner with senior stakeholders and business leaders to define requirements and drive alignment


• Challenge business requirements where necessary to ensure optimal system design and efficiency


• Act as the primary point of contact for SAP-related initiatives

3. Team Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and manage cross-functional teams (functional & technical consultants, vendors, offshore teams)


• Drive accountability, performance, and collaboration across global teams


• Ensure effective resource planning and utilization

4. Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues


• Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and external regulations


• Maintain strong controls and governance throughout the SAP environment

5. Continuous Improvement & Transformation

• Drive process improvements and system optimization initiatives


• Promote Lean / Continuous Improvement (CI) principles within project execution


• Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and cost optimization

• 8+ years of experience in SAP project/program management
