Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Penang seeks an experienced SAP EWM consultant to design, configure, and maintain SAP EWM solutions supporting global logistics and warehouse operations.

You will analyze business requirements, map processes within SAP EWM, manage master data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehousing workflows and inventory control. The role requires on-site work in Penang and the ability to support multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of business process design and optimization related to warehousing, logistics and supply chain operations.
• Analytical skills for translating operational requirements into SAP EWM solutions and data-driven improvements.
• Consulting experience in gathering requirements, advising stakeholders and facilitating workshops.
• Knowledge of SAP FICO integration with EWM, including inventory valuation and goods movements.
• Experience managing Master Data (materials, storage bins, warehouse structures).
• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP EWM or related SAP logistics modules (WM, MM, SD).
• Ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural teams and communicate with technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Business or related field; SAP certifications are an advantage.
• Proficiency in English with strong documentation and presentation skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Penang and support global operations across time zones.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site SAP EWM role based in Penang. The role is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions to support global logistics and warehouse operations. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing business requirements, mapping processes within SAP EWM, managing master data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize warehousing workflows and inventory control. The position involves troubleshooting system issues, coordinating tests and deployments for new functionalities, and providing user training and support. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that SAP EWM aligns with industry best practices and Renesas’ strategic objectives.

• Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP EWM or related SAP logistics modules (e.g., WM, MM, SD) in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, multicultural teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; relevant SAP certifications are an advantage.
• Proficiency in English, with strong documentation and presentation skills; familiarity with project management or agile methodologies is beneficial.
• Willingness to work on-site in Penang and support global operations across multiple time zones as needed.
